Joeboy, Fireboy DML and Rema, Who is underrated, over hyped and deserving?

Joeboy, Fireboy DML and Rema are the three musketeers leading the next generation to the Promised Land. The trio has dropped several hit singles in 2019 as they fight to claim the number spot on the Nigeria music space.

Banku Music, YBNL and Mavin Records seem to have found themselves new talents to drive their recod labels. YBNL and Mavin records where probably drowning before signing their respective acts. While Fireboy DML became the new face of YBNL, Rema resurrected Mavin records reinstating them as one of the biggest records labels in the country.

The visualizer of Joeboy’s “baby” has amassed over 13 million views on Youtube. The Banku Music act emerged through the funds from Mr Eazi’s empawaafrica. The act’s “Beginning” and “Baby” videos were sponsored by Empawa Africa.

Fireboy on the other hand has over twenty thousand subscribers with over six million views on his hit single “Jealous”.

Rema has accrued over 50 million streams on streaming platforms bagging a spot in Barrack Obama’s summer playlist.

The trio are nominated for 2019 Headies awards for the Next Rated Category.

Many have criticized the talents of these acts proposing that they are either over hyped or underrated. Thus we bring these numbers to either equate the alleged hype surrounding these acts and/or prove the fact they are actually over hyped, underrated or well deserving.
