Oxlade Is Climbing the Ladder of Success – The Prince of Afrobeat

After scoring some points in the streaming platforms courtesy of these collaborations and pronouncing his breakthrough to mainstream, takes the bull by the horn to dish out his debut project. The ‘Oxygene EP' by the young Afrobeat prince is nothing but classic. The flows, delivery, vibes and melodies are unique and unfathomable.

dished out this 6-track EP on March 20th 2020. Moelogo on ‘Tables turn' is the only featured artiste on the project. Oxlade perfected this masterpiece before dishing out. He was not just in a haste to cement his breakthrough; he needed to leave a mark behind which he has successfully done.

Being the prince of afrobeat is a huge office to occupy in our ever growing industry. Oxlade knew exactly what was expected of him. He fine-tuned his voice even the more reproducing six awesome tunes we just can't get enough of.

‘Oxygene EP' is a total vibe. ‘O2' initiates the mood. It is a mid-tempo jam elaborating how important his girl is to him. O2 definitely means oxygen which confirms she is as vital as the air he breathes.

Hold on' is that party vibe you just can't wait to have your DJ push to play in the middle of that electrifying party. Oxlade makes it quite easy to have amazing lyrics in a commercial single.

‘Away' is most definitely the lead single off the EP. Apart from being released before the Oxygene EP, ‘Away' is melodious; it's like the base of the EP.

‘Kokose' by Oxlade is what you need to hear when depressed. It creates an atmosphere to vibe and naturally calls for dance. It sure will get you out of any sad mood.

Oxlade knows he wouldn't be representing his brand if he went away from vibes with sets a man's soul ablaze. ‘Weakness' is too spiritrual. I literally don't know how his inspiration comes but Oxlade knows exactly how to make music for all moods. This is another love song you need to sing for your lover next time you meet them.

‘small boy from the ghetto wey the try make some money…' Oxlade kickstarts his vocals on this awesome piece. ‘Tables turn' is my favourite jam off the ‘Oxygene EP'. It speaks directly to my soul creating an atmosphere to accommodate others.
