I don’t sing to be recognised- Burna Boy reveals

Afro-fusion singer, Damini Ogulu, better known as  has said that he does not make music to be recognized because it is not his primary objective.

Speaking about his achievement as the Best International Act at the BET awards held in Los Angeles, he described the award as a great achievement.

The ‘yawa' crooner noted that he felt honored to have bagged such award after a long time of being in the music industry, adding that the award signals the beginning of more big achievements for him.

He said “I feel great and honoured. There's a lot to be done but this is a great start to a lot to come”

Asked if he expected the award, he said; “I don't make music to be recognized. I don't care about that because it's not my primary objective in life. I feel like BET is so great, the fact that it recognizes that this is what I do, this is the reason I do it and it recognizes me for that.”

‘I've been doing this music like forever, but now they can see that this is what I'm doing and I appreciate it”, he said.

The singer however, applauded his fans for supporting his music.

Recall that the award was picked up by his mum, after which disclosed on his twitter handle that he went to get a drink when he was called up.
