A popular Nigerian superstar whose profile isn’t on Wikipedia? That’s suspicious. Naira Marley has been a household name since his 2018 single “Issa Goal”.

He has gone ahead to drop massive hit singles. His 2019 single “Soapy” was one of the songs that gave Wizkid’s “Starboy Fest” 2019 a boost in 02 arena, London.

The Yoruba ingenuous rapper and singer is currently on trial for fraud allegations. He was arrested after his song “Am I Yahoo Boy” featuring Zlatan Ibile went viral. He released the said single at a point where the world expect a huge fight against internet fraud from the Nigerian government. This led to his arrest Nigerian government needed to make a clear statement to statement on their stand with fraud.

Few months later, even while having an active case in the court, Naira Marley made this tweet after being accused of being a bad influence.

He went on to drop an song titled “Bad Influence” indirectly explaining he’s not a bad influence to the society.

But what if he is? Tweeting like an amateur celebrity, releasing songs to make jest of prison inmates and promote masturbation. His “Soapy” song and dance step was  heavily criticized by many for lacking morality and being a misrepresentation of the “so called friends” he met in his few weeks in prison.

In a few words and without mincing word, “NAIRA MARLEY IS A BAD INFLUENCE TO THE SOCIETY”.
