Ikuforiji Abdulrahman Olaitan, professionally known as is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, who rose to limelight with his 2018 single “Shugar”, gradually, the young lad has shown so much improvement that caught our eye.

has been doing music since he was in high school, fast forward to when he got admission to study History and International Relations at the University of Lagos, but he dropped out due to lack of support from his parents because of the path he has choosen; Music. He used to be a choir boy with his innovative videographer friend, Naya Effectz, before professionally focusing on their craft.

We have been following the young lad since the day of his widely known single “Shugar”, and we are impressed with the growth and how he had perfected his craft very well.

1. “Shugar

The song, “Shugar” is 's breakthrough record in the Nigerian music scene, it was released on December 21, 2018. It was rumoured that he is affiliated to DMW back then, but at last he still an independent artiste, doing well for himself. The single was produced by Classic. I literally fell in love with the track the first day I heard it, and that was when I knew got potentials.

2. “Causing Trouble” by DJ Tunez

Despite being an independent artiste, he has gotten the attention of A-list artists. He was featured on this one “Causing Trouble”, a song originally owned by StarBoy official disc jockey, DJ Tunez. His performance on this song was mouth-watering and undiluted, he sings effortlessly. The song was produced by Classic. It was released on May 10, 2019.

3. “Legend

This song, “Legend” is where he spilled everything that has happened to him, because he choosed to follow his talent, which is Music. He told a story of how his parents forbids him from making music, he was literally abandoned by his parents, they refuse footing his bills because he choosed to do music; that lead to him dropping out of school in the second year. The first day I listen to this song, I had goosebumps. With his melodious voice, he told the story of his music journey in a 3 Minutes audio clip. is a Legend!

4. “Mamiwota” by

Blaqbonez was one of the artistes that gave Oxlade motivation when he was tired of life and wanted to quit music. Blaqbonez organised a studio session with him, when he heard his single “Sour”, and from there they became friends. Fast forward to when Blaqbonez came to the limelight, he was preparing to release his first studio project “Bad Boy Blaq” and he called upon his friend, Oxlade for some assistance, and that was how “Mamiwota” was made. The song shows the serenading voice of Oxlade, his melodious chants and how effortlessly he switches his voice. This is another song that got me real hard back then when it was released.

5. “Sing” by Fireboy DML

This is definitely the cracker! Two talented fast-rising singers in one song. I couldn't wait to get to stream this song when I saw the notification on my phone. After I listened to it, I became confused on who to rate the best, but after severally repeating the song, I gave it up for Oxlade for his amazing vocal on the song.

6. “Away

Oxlade continued his No-Bad-Song campaign with the release of this melodious tune “Away”, lifted off his recently released body of work “Oxygen” EP. The song was produced by Classic; it further shows the wonderful chemistry between Oxlade and . The song talks about him flying Away with his new-found love, to a place where nobody can detect how they play (way of living). The song, “Weakness” is another masterpiece created by the talented Oxlade. The song is also part of his previously released studio project “Oxygen” EP. On the song, Oxlade recruits Lussh Beatz, and they both did wonders on the lovely track. Once again, Oxlade voice and the way he switches up things has been his advantage and he knows how to do it effortlessly.
