BET Awards 2022: Wizkid, Tems And Fireboy DML Gets Nominated

Tems turns into the first African to get three nominations around the same time, while Wizkid and Fireboy DML got two and one designations, individually.

The BET Awards is an American award show that was established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans in music, acting, sports and other fields of entertainment over the past year. The awards, which are presented annually, are broadcast live on BET. The 21st edition will come up on the Monday 27th of June, 2022.

Tems was nominated for Best New Artist, Best International Act, and Best Collaboration for Wizkid's ‘Essence' remix featuring Justin Bieber.

Wizkid was nominated for Best Collaboration and Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, while Fireboy DMl was nominated for Best International Act.
